Wafer (rice) paper is a separate, lightly textured option that's sturdier and great for cake wraps and stand-up toppers.
Peel the sheet from its backing and lay it gently onto a freshly iced surface — buttercream, fondant or fresh whipped icing work best. Smooth from the centre outwards with a clean, dry hand. The image fuses to the surface within a minute. Apply close to serving for the brightest finish.
